Drabble Section – Edition #2

For the upcoming Edition #2 of So Fi, Mark Carrigan is editing a special section of drabbles.

A drabble is a fiction vignette – a short story of exactly 100 words – a snippet scene of social life that allows us to detach moments from the narrative demands of longer pieces.

This special section is inspired by the work of Rob Kitchen, a Professor of Human Geography and a crime writer, who writes drabbles on his blog. Check out ‘Final notice‘, ‘I’m meant to be grateful?’, ‘She has to go‘, ‘Empty promises‘, ‘This has to stop‘, ‘Alienation‘, and ‘Home to vote‘.

Mark will edit and curate the submitted drabbles into a special section for the zine.

Submit one or more drabbles as per usual guidelines to ashleigh.watson@griffithuni.edu.au by September 30 2017.
